Bit late to say welcome to 2013 BUT instead I'll say that I hope 2013 is very fun and interesting for my fellow investigators out there!
Well I don't know about anyone else but 2013 was off to a slow start, and now BAM! It's like everyone wants a piece of this lil investigator! So far it's been going good....except;.....
Have you ever just wanted to track down some of your clients and hit their head into their desk! OMG don't get me wrong, I respect them for giving me work, but, sometimes they are useless! USELESS! So you call them and inquire about a few details and they have no idea what you are talking about! For example;
Me; So far I haven't observed any activity would you like me to assist and try again on the weekend, he may do some gardening..
Client: Good idea, maybe you'll get him taking the kids to school.
Me; He doesn't have any kids.
Client; He may even take the kids out...
Me; He's 65 years of age and he doesn't have kids...
Client; Ok well lets kick things off again early next week, check the local schools....
WTF!! Seriously! USELESS!!
At the moment I'm doing a job that I have done twice before, and both times I didn't observe him doing what the clients suspects he is, and I have been given a new address, so I've found him again at this new address BUT my client now instructs me to cover his old house as it may be his business location....IT'S A HOUSE WITH CHILDREN LIVING IN IT!! And you can't tell her! It's frustrating! They think I'm superwoman and I'm going to get absolutely everything they want and they'll be really active....which is great when they are but you're a "very bad" investigator when they don't, but it's hard to achieve their goals when they give you set hours and are so sure of themselves. Gah!
In other news, have you ever been following someone in traffic and you're behind the wheel acting all cool, and you start to observe something odd about the person you are following and in your brain pops the "whaaattt the fffff****#####kkkk are you doing?"
I was following a cheating spouse last weekend and this guy was driving in the wrong lane into ON COMING TRAFFIC! Just to turn left into a side street! I lost him, obviously, cos I wasn't going to that crazy shit and almost kill myself! But I called my client and she didn't seem to bothered after I told her she said "oh yeh don't worry he does that all the time"....I ended up finding him and was even more mortified when I observed him pulling out his baby out of the back! Some people are just seriously crazy!
I'm contemplating also doing skip tracing, so would really appreciate it if any investigators could hit me up with a "how to" and show me the rope, be great to do during the down times, plus I love trying to find people.
